Conflict Cafe: A parents perspective on managing conversations with health professionals
Wednesday 29th March 2023, 1pm - 2pm GMT
Free virtual webinar
In this lunchtime webinar on Wednesday 29th March we will be in conversation with a special guest looking at a parent's perspective in dealing with conversations with health professionals
Have you ever wondered what's really going on inside a parent's head when they're in hospital with their child? Do you wonder why parents behave in ways that seem unhelpful or combative? Would you sometimes just like to ask a parent what they want from you?
You are not alone.
All medical professionals feel this way at times. Communication gaps are common between medical professionals and parents in hospital, and we can help.
Lydia Strachan founded Confident Conversations after spending 16 months in hospital with her eldest child. She, and her team, are dedicated to helping parents successfully navigate being in hospital, and helping medical professionals understand how to connect with parents as constructively as possible.
Join us for a discussion on how to have the best relationship with parents in hospital, from a parent's perspective
A short presentation will be followed by a Q&A
