Advanced skills for managing conflict between patients, families and healthcare professionals

Conflict and communication breakdown between patients and healthcare providers is upsetting, time-consuming and can have long-lasting impact.


This course builds on our Essential Skills course and will teach you to: 

  • Manage conflict as a team at different levels of escalation using the MMF Conflict Management Framework
  • Develop a strong and consistent team approach to managing conflict with families
  • Use advanced listening and mediation skills to practice de-escalating conflict and building trust



  • Nurses, AHPs & non-consultant doctors £120 - £145  (£120 early bird rate until 16th April) 
  • Consultants, managers and GPs £200 - £240  (£200 early bird rate until 16th April)
